Simple Expense manager ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application (the "App") handles your information.

Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal expense data. This includes:

• Transaction descriptions, amounts, and dates
• Account balances and financial summaries
• Budgets, categories, and tags
• Any notes or personal details you enter into the App
• Bank account or credit card information

This data remains exclusively on your device and is never sent to us or any third party.

Information Stored on Your Device

The App stores all data you enter locally on your device's internal storage. This data is stored in a private database that other apps cannot access.

You are solely responsible for the security of your device and this data. We recommend you regularly back up your device to prevent data loss.

Third-Party Services

Crash Reporting (Firebase Crashlytics)

We use Firebase Crashlytics, a service provided by Google, to collect crash reports and improve the stability of our App. When the App crashes, Crashlytics automatically collects information about the crash, which may include:

• Device type and model
• Operating system version
• App version
• Crash traces and stack traces
• Device state at the time of the crash

Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymous usage statistics that help us understand how users interact with our App. This information helps us improve the user experience and app functionality. Google Analytics may collect:

• App usage frequency and duration
• User interactions with specific features
• App performance data
• Device information (model, OS version)
• Approximate location (based on IP address, not GPS)
• Crash data (shared with Crashlytics)

Google Analytics uses an anonymous identifier rather than personal information. The data collected is aggregated and cannot be used to identify individual users. We do not use Google Analytics to collect any personal financial data you enter in the App.

Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Since these ads are served by Google, they are covered by Google's own Privacy Policy.

Google AdMob may collect and use certain information from your device to serve ads that are relevant to you. This information is generally non-personally identifiable and can include:

• Your Android Advertising ID
• Information about your device (e.g., model, OS version)
• Your approximate general location (derived from IP address, not GPS)
• Information about how you interact with the ads

Android Permissions

The App requests the following permissions on your device:

• INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: These permissions are required for the purpose of connecting to Google's servers to display advertisements, collect crash reports, and gather anonymous analytics data within the App. They are not used to transmit your personal expense data.

Data Security

Since your expense data never leaves your device, its security is dependent on the security of your device itself. We encourage you to use a secure lock screen on your phone and to be cautious about installing apps from unknown sources.

For data transmitted to Google services (Crashlytics, Analytics, and AdMob), Google implements industry-standard security measures to protect this information.

Your Rights and Control Over Your Data

You have complete control over the expense data within the App. You can view, edit, or delete any transaction or information at any time. You can also uninstall the App, which will permanently delete all associated data from your device.

For analytics data collected by Google, you can opt-out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings (on Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization).

Children's Privacy

Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone, including children under 13. Since we do not collect any personal financial data, this is inherently enforced.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, we advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
